Biography
Franca Barone (Francesca Barone) was born in Milan in 1985. She approaches the piano at the age of 4, continuing with the study of the classical repertoire, until she falls in love with jazz around the age of 13. From that moment he deepens the genre by studying with different teachers first through the instrument (piano) and then with the voice.
Until university he attended some seminars (including Sondrio Jazz with Rachel Gould and Alatri Jazz with Rosario Giuliani), participated as a singer in concerts in various formations (mainly jazz and swing) and worked as a vocalist in various musical productions.
In 2016 "Miss Apleton" was released, her debut album published by Irma Records which contains 7 distinctly jazz songs composed and performed by the singer-songwriter. On this occasion he has the opportunity to play in some of the most important jazz clubs in northern Italy such as the Milestone of Piacenza.
"BE KIND" Album - FRANCA BARONE
BE KIND is the second album by singer-songwriter Franca Barone that comes out 4 years after her debut album "Miss Apleton". 10 songs written and composed by the artist ranging from jazz, soul, r & b and bossa nova with cinematic and 90's influences to which is added a touch of production: few standard "jazz" structures and many songs. The record was recorded in the summer of 2019 at the Bluescore Studio in Milan thanks to the great work of Cesare Pizzetti (double bass), Vincenzo Barbarito (drums), Edoardo Maggioni (keyboard) and Federico Altamura (studio sound engineer). Guest star on “Youtoo” and “I Really Need To Go” the saxophonist Tullio Ricci.

Franca Barone (Francesca Barone) nasce a Milano nel 1985. Si avvicina al pianoforte a soli 4 anni proseguendo con lo studio del repertorio classico, fino all’innamoramento per il jazz avvenuto intorno ai 13 anni. Da quel momento approfondisce il genere studiando con diversi insegnanti prima attraverso lo strumento (pianoforte) e poi con la voce.
Fino all’università frequenta alcuni seminari (tra cui Sondrio Jazz con Rachel Gould e Alatri Jazz con Rosario Giuliani), partecipa come cantante a concerti in varie formazioni (principalmente jazz e swing) e si presta come vocalist in produzioni musicali di vario genere.
Nel 2016 esce “Miss Apleton”, il suo album d’esordio pubblicato da Irma Records che contiene 7 brani spiccatamente jazz composti e interpretati dalla cantautrice. In questa occasione ha la possibilità di suonare in alcuni dei jazz club più importanti del nord Italia come il Milestone di Piacenza.

BE KIND è il secondo disco della cantautrice Franca Barone che esce 4 anni dopo il suo album d’esordio “Miss Apleton”. 10 brani scritti e composti dall’artista che spaziano tra jazz, soul, r&b e bossanova con influenze cinematografiche e anni 90’ a cui si aggiunge un tocco di produzione: poche strutture “jazz” standard e molte canzoni. Il disco è stato registrato nell’estate del 2019 al Bluescore Studio di Milano grazie al grande lavoro di Cesare Pizzetti (contrabbasso), Vincenzo Barbarito (batteria), Edoardo Maggioni (keyboard) e Federico Altamura (fonico di studio). Guest star su “Youtoo” e “I Really Need To Go” il sassofonista Tullio Ricci.
