N.o.N Music returns for its fourth release with a deep, disco workout from Elijah Collins. Having been inspired by the deep house and disco grooves of summer parties, Jnr J spawned a new alias in Elijah Collins. Futuristic yet distinctly nostalgic the sound sits comfortable with the new wave of house that has been dominating dance floors. Lead track ‘Trap’ is drenched in feel good funk grooves, it’s low slung bass, detuned synths and an infectious vocal hook it will have any dance floor jumping. ‘Ya Phil Me’ gives a nod to the classic filter disco sound. Driven by the bass and vocal refrain, hazy textures and modulated synths provide deeper moments. On remix duties Marc Asken and The Pushamann take ‘Trap’ down a darker route ensuring even the most discerning floors take note . The former minimal maestro, Asken, delivers an acid tinged work out with plenty of swing and N.o.N music head honcho, The Pushamann, completes the release with a stripped back, techy take on the original.
