We created BLK leaf with a particular mindset. We wanted to create an avenue to allow artists that send us countless demos to be able to release music that wouldn't have normally fit on our more upbeat big brother Purple Tea.

We wanted to sign music we both loved, but couldn't say yes to in the past.

We wanted minimal, progressive, trance, but above all else, we wanted DAS TECHNO.

We have a fond appreciation of the industrial aesthetic from all our travels together. Techno just hits different when you're abroad exploring that city's culture, something very primal that lets a group of people be one.

The nail was hit on the hammer with this one, and we'd like to thank KB95 for really smashing this EP out of the park. Dancey grooves, uplifting hats, jacking snares contrasted by percussive baselines, big kicks, ambient synths, and otherworldly vox synths. We think these tracks are epic in that they pay homage to a sound that still is very much relevant all the while being the next big thing.
