Deep Hype Sounds co-founder and Chicago DJ/producer Jose Zaragoza delivers his label's 26nd release, once again bringing some upfront funky, jacking and deep house sounds. The 'Shooting Star EP' - five tracks in all, with four provided by Jose himself, including two reedits of last years 'You Feel That' and Lille's Erik Bo (Funk Mansion) continuing the recent renaissance of French House on a typically funked-up and bouncey workout.Jose Zaragoza hails from the home of house, Chicago. The DJ, producer, remixer and promoter has built his reputation on funky, filtered, disco and tech-house sounds, traveling the globe and sharing the stage with a catalogue of big names. He has put on shows in both his hometown with the 'Thursday Night Sessions' at Smart Bar and at the Winter Music Conference in Miami. His previous releases have featured on Clean House, Baccara, Volt9 and of course his own Deep Hype. Jose's and the labels first release 'To The One I Love' received huge support with DJ's and press alike, establishing both as one to watch back in 2009.Erik Bo continues the current French house revival with his own blend of funky, jacking house madness. Erik also owns the Funk Mansion imprint as well as appearing on Shak Digital, Digifunk Stove Top Recordings and more and remixing the likes of Freaky Behaviour, Groove Federation, Funk Mediterraneo and Tom Drummond. His 'Drum Generation' track also featured on Robsoul Recordings' 'Various Artists Sampler' in 2008.Deep Hype Sounds was established by Jose and Jesse Rivera back in 2008 initially as a home for their own releases. It's a label that defines the new sound in house music offering artists such as Mr Clean, Gomez, Paul Woodhouse, Nic James, Hugh Cleal and more a chance to release their music to the masses, whether that's house, techno, or electro.
