2Sox are super happy to bring you freshly fried Hot Eggs and introduce you to the boss that is Glasgow's Rob Boss.
The Hot Eggs idea was always hatched with the idea of giving some lesser known and under the radar talents a platform (well, as much as a platform as we can give em) to showcase their skills - and we’ve always enjoyed local lad Boss’ stuff.
The lead track ‘Cold Spell’ has all the hallmarks of a classic; plenty dreaminess, infectious bassline and melodic top line. ‘Volcanic’ evokes thoughts of Tim Sweeney’s BIS podcast; frankly, if it doesn’t get a play on there we’ll be disappointed.
‘Where is Empathy’ is a smooth yet doofty piece of business; a lengthy, rolling build up eases into action after a couple of minutes and hooks you all the way in. Rounding off this journey is ‘Be In At 11’ where the Boss Man shows his ability to create a killer bassline in sync with some crispy perc.
