Dream Travel EP

Debukas

2Sox
2SOX002 | 2015-12-07
Since infiltrating dancefloors and airwaves with April's 2SOX001 release, Debukas has been dreaming away in his `Shake Box' and travelling to another world. The follow up to that debut 2Sox release is the Dream Travel EP from 'the Mr. Fingers of the Highlands' (Brewster. Bill, 2015, Low Life).

Inspired by a holiday to the Scottish town on the Isle of Lewis, Carloway is a head nodding dreamy builder, with a killer bassline, leading into some classic piano chords. A sure fire dance floor stealer. Larks throws together rave stabs and a real doof kick but supplements this with a floaty, dream like, melody that whirls around the head forever.

Kick starting the flip side, Moons decides to chill the EP out. A warm, fuzzy, vintage Carl Craig style track with a contemporary feel. Take some time to drift away to another planet with this one. And last, but certainly not least, the title track Dream Travel delivers some sumptuous chord progressions and, in keeping with Debukas' homage to Detroit, some fierce string action.

This release comes hot on the heels of the first 2Sox radio show on London's legendary station Rinse FM, and by Debukas' appearance on the Forward to the Past 3 compilation from Steve Bug's Poker Flat label.
