Ingrid Chavez's new 'Light Rays' EP includes the album version produced by Copenhagen's Mashti; a live performance of the song from a Summer 2019 concert series at the Hewing Hotel in Minneapolis; and four stunning alternative interpretations, including the original demo, 'Blue Grey Light Rays,' Ingrid created with Chris Brann (Wamdue Project/Ananda Project) in 2016.

In 2017, Ingrid gave the vocals from the demo to New York producer Chuck Zwicky who wrote entirely new music and delivered two brand new songs -- one a piano ballad and the other a pop version, each gorgeous, but held back from the album because they didn't fit the direction of the LP, 'Memories of Flying' which Ingrid was producing with Mashti. Ingrid knew she would one day release both of Zwicky's versions on an EP because they were just too beautiful to be withheld. As Ingrid and Mashti worked closely on 'Memories of Flying,' Mashti also wrote new music to accompany Ingrid's lyrics and this resulted in the album version, titled 'Light Rays.' In 2019, Melody As Truth (Johnny Nash & Suzanne Kraft) reached out to collaborate with Ingrid and their first output is the breathtaking, ambient version which completes the Light Rays EP package.

Ingrid has always attracted the best musicians in the world to her light and lyrics. The lyrics to 'Light Rays' prove to be among the most inspiring she's ever written, moving four different producers to write beautiful and unique compositions representing what the words mean to them.
