Our 35th release comes from two talents based in Bogotá (Colombia). Andre Ortiz and Juan Pelaez (better known as Fresen and Mental Order) make their debut on Juicebox Music with a collaborative single titled 'Sirens'. Often producing together, they've collectively released music on Manu Riga and RPO's "Vesta Records" as well as Jerry Chiu's "Droid9", while Fresen's 'Bonk' EP earned a release on Soul Button's "Inner Symphony" imprint. With 'Sirens', they present a more soulful and euphoric piece with blissful vocals, simple percussive grooves, warm basslines and organic melodics.
Greece's Simos Tagias makes his return to Juicebox after a lovely rendition of Ziger's "Razor" a few years back. Simos' sound has evolved and matured over time, which can be seen in his recent remix of Matter's "Everything, So Young" on Strange Town Recordings, as well as his EP on D-Formation's "Beatfreak". Simos follows suit as he turns the mood upside down with a more darker, heavier and grungier approach while keeping elements from the original as a surprise. Fellow Colombian artist Gux Jimenez joins the pack as our second remixer. Gux's music has been gaining traction with his music seeing releases on Paul Thomas' "UV", Juan Pablo Torrez's "Clubsonica" and Antrim's "Or Two Strangers". His take on 'Sirens' represents the modern South American sound of progressive house with an irresistible groove and hypnotic floating leads.
