1980 House Recordings features a V/A remix compilation from four distinct French producers: Gzz, LOTCHE, Keedo, & My Mother Say. Keedo and & My Mother Say splitting the duties while GZZ & LOTCHE remixing respective productions.
Keedo's Remix of & My Mother Say's 'Serie B', is a sunny side house jam with a French flair. Serie B's prominent rolling basslines and heavy hitting bass, pulsates the dancefloor, as twangy pads and fleeting synths provide whimsical textures. Airy mids with crispy hi-hats prove a well-rounded daytime vibe on this tech-y joint.
Sure Cut Records head honcho, GZZ takes over the remixing duties for LOTCHES' chugging house tune, 'A Funkk'. 'Let It Rain' vocal sample, loops steadily with other vocal variations, which blend into trippy compositions, spiraling out like ripples of a puddle of water. As 'A Funkk' expands, the highly efficient drumwork, patterned on massive kickdrums, muzzled hi-hats and snares take control of the track with a snug funk section in between.
On the flip side, LOTCHE's remix of GZZ's harmonious tune, 'Space Breakdown', harnesses elements of feel-good house and afro-rhythms into a sea of subdued basslines, swanky pads, and uplifting vocals, making this lively tune ready for dancefloors worldwide.
Final track & My Mother Say's rendition of Keedo's 'Dedicated To The Lost Soul', features haughty basslines with warm stabs saturating in the midst of full frontal percussions and slamming hi-hats. Dedicated To The Lost Soul, channels an impeccable groove that house dancers and shape-cutting shufflers can all get down to in unity.
This V/A compilation is set for release on December 14th, 2018 and will be exclusively available on 1980 House Recordings Bandcamp.
