With her latest release 'Songs For Summer', Vanessa Daou brings together a collection of her songs that capture the carefree and sultry days of summertime: steamy nights that lead to crimson sunrises, reggae tinged rhythms mixed with jazz-fueled piano meanderings, and Daou's signature voice, which is at once, a whisper in your ear, and a siren call that reaches you from some distant shore.

It's the latest offering from her DaouTempo sub-label imprint, which was launched last year (with the 'Songs For Lovers' compilation) as an outpost for Vanessa's more experimental works, side projects, special collaborations and various themed compilations.

The summery sun-soaked "soundtrack" features 14 balmy and breezy tropical moods including: "Sunday Afternoons (The Chill Way)", "Two To Tango (Milk & Honey Mix)", "Once In A While", "Waiting For The Sun To Rise", "Chances", "Pleasure and Pain", "Consequences (Blank & Jones Late Night Mix)" and the exclusive new track "Whips and Predicaments".
