Ego Death is Noah York & Maya Gulin
Ego Death began as a solo project by Noah York in 2009 who debuted with a self titled self released cassette June 2010. Other contributor in the past was Dan Christiansen (Preoccupations/formally Viet Cong) who got on board when we composed a score for a mock satanic ritual on December 19, 2009 called Santamental. York's partner Maya Gulin joined as a permanent member in the spring of 2015. They began recording The Total End the following spring, though their first live performances wouldn't come until the summer of 2016.Noah was a member of the Calgary band The Diet, and fill in bassist for Lab Coast. Also producing beats under the name Fuck Clouds.Maya is a fine arts grad who attended Emily Carr. Her main mediums are abstract painting and film
