Come Together

Andy Ward & Random Soul

Random Soul Recordings
RSR010 | 2011-08-30
What an honour it has been for Yogi & Husky to collaborate with one of the world's leading house junkies, Mr Andy Ward. Best known for his work as Soul Central, Andy is no stranger to chart success and timeless music production. So they are very chuffed to be working with house music royalty. Ok, enough ego stroking... Let's get to the music!

First up, the original mix of "Come Together" has been crafted around Yogi's smooth vocals, offering a soul-infused summer anthem. Utilizing organic clav, dreamy pads and rhodes melodies, the original cuts through a sunny afternoon like a hot knife through butter. Adding to the pack is their "Classic Mix" where the lads have kept a more ambient approach to the vocal, adding a few lush pads, Yogi's live bass and some deeper rhodes. The result is a beautiful melodic remix that will surely get airplay for many years to come.
Using their slightly dirtier pseudonym, "Yogi & Husky's RSR mixes" take things a bit deeper, aimed at the late night hypnotic lovers amongst us. Think dirty bass, big delays and snappy drums on this sure fire bomb.
Next up is the B-side of the EP "Rise Of The Hammond". This is by no means a B-side tune though, as it represents a bouncy system shocker. This ever building B3 Hammond organ solo will have your feet fixed on the floor as it whips the club into a frenzy of sweat and bra burning. It is deep house at its best here and the "RSR Deep Wash" offers a slightly chuggier mix for the heads to drop in their bigger set scenario.
The final mix is turned over to Miami based producer Andrew Chibale, best known for his massive releases on Salted Music including "Salsa Training" and his remix of Lisa Shaw's "Can You See Him". Andrew's mix offers a funky energy to the Hammond solo, cut up and bouncing along with dope synth stabs and sexy bass licks. This mix rounds the package out nicely and is only an addition to Andrew's growing discography of fine productions!

(BTW - stay tuned for Part 2 of this release featuring some HUGE remixes from ANDY WARD & ROB HAYES! Just around the corner)

Enjoy the music and we encourage you to support it in your charts and mixes!
