Our 31st strike on Area Remote welcomes DJ & Producers Ronan Portela and Ariel Rodz from Argentina:
RONAN PORTELA launched his first album back in 1999, influenced by diverse music including New Order, Orbital, Plastikman, Larry Heard, Frankie Knuckles and Underworld. Playing deep and tech-house sounds, Ronan has produced material for Foundsound, Defected, Swank and OneThirty.
ARIEL RODZ love for music began at 10 years old, when he received his first keyboard. By 2004 his live performances gained him his 1st residency, since then he can be seen playing at Argentina party hotspots such as Pacha, Mint and Big One. He’s also the mentor behind Argentina’s most important parties Unique and Blow. Today his signature groove is influenced by Instrumental Dub, House and Techno which can be found on labels like Monique, Unlock Recordings. When you ask him about his passion for music he smiles and says "This love will never end…"

LA SARACHA: Mashed-up percussion playfully prods over a bouncy bassline giving you a strong groove that brings the Argentinian heat to the clubfloor.
LA ENSENADA: Fresh and flirty. An energetic bass powers this tune giving it the creative license to deviate easily on a soundtour of experimental extracts and catchy snippets, then just when you’re comfortable the bass kicks in and grabs you again.
