Blasting onto the Chicago House scene in 2019, ilana quickly grew a fan base from a notoriously tough Chicago dance floor as well as approval from many of the architects of the sound. She prides herself on being a meticulous student of the foundation of House, her dedication bordering on what some may say is an obsession. Her pleasure comes from playing the cuts that have been seldom heard or long forgotten about.

Her vinyl collection is one of the shining stars of her DJ repertoire and is thrilled anytime she can share them with a discerning audience.

Although a dancer and a DJ first, she has also found time to get into the studio with several releases under her belt. Her label, Cheap Talk, launched in Spring of 2023, highlights the raw Chicago House sound, seeing support from 5Magazine and DJ Heather among notable others. Her label mate, Shmoo, is a frequent collaborator/co-conspirator. Their talents combined have proven that this generation of Chicago artist is ready to take the reigns while simultaneously honoring those that came before.
