Beatkozina is a dynamic electronic and world music duo bridging the sounds of London and Marrakech. Formed by Mehdi Naami (DJ, musician, and producer) and Gregory Jouandon (jazz drummer, pianist, and producer), the duo fuses deep electronic grooves with rich global influences.
Both multi-instrumentalists, they channel their passion for Afro-rooted rhythms, North African traditions, jazz, and Afro-Latin sounds into a unique sonic journey. Their music builds a bridge between House and Afro, shaping a tribal yet contemporary sound through intricate Moroccan rhythmic patterns, minimalism, and deep musical transposition.
Beatkozina has released music on respected labels like Compost Records, The Djoon Experience and Nulu. Their recent collaboration with Cee ElAssaad on his Imprint label Ensouled reached #3 on the Deep House Traxsource Top 100, further cementing their place in the global scene. Their music is supported by legends such as Louie Vega, Osunlade, Jimpster, Terry Hunter, DJ Spen, St Germain and Natasha Diggs.
Alongside the duo project, Mehdi performs both as a solo DJ and in hybrid DJ/live sets with gregory. He is also a resident DJ at House of Groove by Rehab London, one of the city's most respected underground house and disco party.
