About VICKY MDLR

The Sonic Odyssey of Vicky MDLR

The Genesis of a Sound

In the shadows of the late '90s, while the world moved in rhythm to the mundane, Vicky was lost in a private alchemy of wires and waves. He did not just "play" music; he tinkered with the very soul of sound, obsessively molding modules into a sanctuary for his ears alone. The visionary echoes of Masters at Work, the progressive depths of Sasha & Digweed, and the raw energy of Danny Howells became more than just influences—they were the heartbeat within his chest and the unrelenting ghosts in his machine.

The Jakarta Reign (2003–2006)

The mid-2000s saw Vicky MDLR emerge as a titan of the Jakarta night. He became a fixture of the city's pulse, a persistent architect of the "warm-up" who mastered the delicate art of the opening set. Within the hallowed, neon-lit walls of Centro, the electric air of Fluid, and the sophisticated grit of Retro, he did not merely perform—he ascended.

He has shared the decks, breath-for-breath, with the gods of the underground. From the surgical precision of James Zabiela and the legendary Darren Emerson to the dark textures of Dave Seaman and Matthew Dekay, Vicky stood as a peer among giants, absorbing the lightning of the global stage.

The Producer's Resurrection

In 2015, a fated encounter with Roy Ananda birthed a new era under the Magnolia Street Records banner. No longer just a selector of records, Vicky stepped into the light as a producer and sound engineer of formidable craft.

His debut was not a mere release; it was an awakening. His sonic tapestries—ranging from the sun-drenched grooves of Nu Disco to the hypnotic depths of Techno—have garnered the reverence of the elite. Supported by the heavyweights who defined the genre—Dave Clarke, Tony Humphries, and Danny Krivit—his work continues to ripple through the global underground.

The machines are humming once more. The remixes are breathing. The story of Vicky MDLR is far from its final note.
