Born Andrew Pillay in Barberton Mpumalanga, a small town famous for its gold. DJ Spin 659 discovered a love for music at an early age and around 1999 saw DJ Spin 659 take on the deejaying field, and around 2000 started horning his music production. In 2009 DJ Spin 659 established a record company known as 659 Records which specializes in house music, In 2020 also started in game development and the first game Inside Soccer was released in 2021
