Discopolis are proud to bring you this brand new single release courtesy of Tom Da Lips.
Almost 30 years after it’s original release, Tom Da Lips pays homage to the classic Techno anthem Pacific State by legendary dance act 808 State in sublime fashion.
Here, Tom’s rendition of Pacific State takes you on a journey with it’s deep driving bassline, old school pad vibes and chunky percussion all before Tom Da Lips comes in to the mix with the iconic sax line, known to many a dance music fan, as the track builds and builds.
2017 was an incredible year for International touring saxophonist, DJ and producer, Tom Da Lips. With guest appearances throughout Europe including stand out performances for SIN Sundays at Ocean Beach in Ibiza and along the Adriatic coast in Hvar, Croatia, Tom prepared for the year ahead locked in the studio to work on some fresh original material that would follow up “Innocence”, his collaboration with Underground House music producer Josh Butler Strictly Rhythm.
Tom‘s debut solo release dropped in August 2017 “T.E.D.” released by legendary NYC based label Nervous Records and it hit the Traxsource top 10 chart. The record was also hugely supported by many DJs across the globe, calling for the label to chase him down for a follow up release, watch this space.
Into 2018 and dropping just in time for the Miami Music Week, and with the romantic history behind the track, we can guarantee you that you’ll be hearing plenty more of this as we move into the Ibiza season and beyond.
This is an essential DJ battle weapon. This is Discopolis.
