Carlo Ruetz makes his debut on Oliver Huntemann's Senso Sounds with The Trick EP - further evidence of his increasing mastery of tough, thrilling Techno. The Rostock born DJ and producer found a wider audience in 2013 after receiving support from Richie Hawtin and subsequently releasing on MINUS - and here he flexes his production muscles once again.
'Trick' is an acidic tinged banger - a ferocious dancefloor workout for prime time whatever the location. 'Artefact' is another example of Ruetz's control over dynamics - the track containing several moments of high intensity that raises the temperature, yet maintaining a spacey, minimal vibe. 'Divided Universe' is another hard-hitter - a driving rhythm accompanied by laser like melodic flourishes and menacing atmospheres. 'Resoflash' keeps up the releases' tough and funky vibe - a killer rolling bassline and firing percussion deliver the heat.
