It’s rare that a celebrity will be famous for more than 10 years. Usually the “peak period” is a couple years, followed by the “scandal” period, followed by the “I’ll put my face on anything, just give me a paycheck” period. All too often, these periods are followed by some kind of dark tragedy. It’s said that fame is a cruel mistress, well no one would know that better than The Bearded Man. He’s one of the few people (being at least mostly immortal, if not completely) who can honestly say that he’s been famous for thousands of years and is still alive. Of course, even though his worldwide popularity hasn’t changed one bit for a long long time, the way people react to fame sure has. The invention of the camera was particularly rough, as he never really loved paparazzi and he’s not big on selfies. Still, despite the fact that he’s been so popular for so long, Lilianna Wilde is one of the few people on the planet who can honestly claim that she liked him before he was famous. So he’s got that going for him, which is nice.
