With all the rigour and complexities, simplicity and quality is often lost within the overbearing details. Too much is forlornly thrown together, and not enough takes hold.

With this in mind, Crossfrontier Audio and Sonic Future have collaborated together to provide you with a series of releases - aptly named Themes.

Each release will focus around a unique structure, unfolding beauty to have as your own, to indulge upon, and to take with you wherever... lasting intricacy built through simplicity.

Talking about the project, Sonic Future added 'Sometimes we get overloaded by tracks with tons of amazing effects, but no actual musical meaning. For the theme series, I decided to get back to basics. The idea is to present the music around specific melodies or chord progressions, giving a more minimalistic approach based on melodic themes, and building the tracks around motivic developments. The result is certainly more intimate, but I hope it resonates with today´s music.'
