Bringing the underground sounds in our next release is the up and coming Italian, Cristian Fascelli. With a rapidly building repertoire of highly regarded releases, we are very happy to welcome him to the NoExcuse family with his “Confused Mentality” EP. This three track offering features two stomping originals, and a grooving remix from Daniel Meister.

Cristian starts off with “One, Two” which brings forth an energetic and punchy vibe from the get go. Heavy kicks, a bouncing bass riff, and accented percussion give a solid grounding for subtle synths and vocals to shine through. Trickled with snappy breakdowns and complimenting drops, this one keeps the momentum high throughout.

“Confused Mentality” takes a groovier approach, with a swung beat, and syncopated bassline resonating at a medium pace underneath. Subtle synth hits build anticipation in the breakdowns, while a catchy vocal line connects the tense breaks to the chunky rolling beat. Expect this to get the crowd moving in any application. Daniel Meister takes a minimalist and linear approach in his techy remix. Stripped back drums and a booming bass give space to the gradual introduction of all the intricately placed synths, percussive elements, and vocals. This tech tool is a warm-up essential.
