It's a real pleasure to welcome the great Solco to our imprint again. As part of the very first Floorfiller Music release he was at the birth of our digital music label. We're more than thrilled to have him back for a full extended play. The remix work is presented to you by our weathered veterans: Joyhauser.

Our adventure kicks off with the title track 'Malpensa'. As the intro embarks, street sounds and sirens are swirling through one's mind, taking the listener on a true urban quest. An emotional Rhodes piano resonates in the echoes of space as suddenly rhythmic elements take on the real inauguration of the song. A raw Moog bassline introduces itself as the backbone of the track and thereupon is harmonically convoyed with the lead melody, octaving the listeners mind into oblivion. Not many will remain untouched by this emotional epos.

'Bergamo' tells quite a different story while still maintaining the true heart of this EP. Atmospheric synth echoes submerge the listener in wonder. From there on mystical plucks of the kalimba take the auditor on an equatorial journey of some sort, while arpeggiated melodies and a minimalistic drumbeat provide the perfect contrast to contain the sonic vastness of this world.

Joyhauser provides the perfect counterweight to this EP, with a slamming techno remix of 'Malpensa'. A hammering kick sets off while sad crescendoing strings lure the auditor into the first break. The octaving lead melody buildup transforms the sad semblance of the track into full on mayhem. Eventually the portamento bassline of the original provides the last harmonic fundamental this remix needs, all supported by overdriven drumlines to attain the perfect foundation for this conformity. Joyhauser succeeds in delivering the perfect addition to this splendid EP.
