Paper Tiger marks naxxos' second step on a journey to broaden the spectrum of their musical repertoire. Compared to their latest single "Thief feat. M.maggie" "Papertiger feat. Raphaella" now embodies the playful side of their ongoing project. By mixing light-hearted mallets and synths combined with a powerful percussive section and finally Raphaella's outstanding voice, they've managed to create a fresh new sound with a summerly vibe and a hint of modern pop. Paper Tiger is about getting to the heart of a relationship. At the beginning there are always grand gestures, bold statements and promises. You mean it, but you want to know if they do too. Are we the real thing, or just a paper tiger pretending to be strong, powerful and able to take on anything, but ultimately just built on lust?

Mit verspielten Mallets und Synths kombiniert mit einer kraftvollen Perkussions-Sektion sowie Raphaella's herausragender Gesangsperfomance, gelang es dem Duo einen frischen, neuen Sound mit einem sommerlichen Vibe und modernen Pop-Einflüssen zu kreieren. Lyrisch behandelt der Song den Beginn einer Beziehung. Eine Phase geprägt von überschwänglichen Gesten, Aussagen und Versprechen. Man fühlt was man sagt, aber ist sich nicht bewusst ob die Worte des Gegenübers nicht nur Schall und Rauch sind.
