Essence continues its assualt with a collaboration between the fast-rising Harrison Crump and the in demand singer.
It seemed a good idea, what with Dajae still basking in the success of her collaboration with Full Intention, What Do You Want? (essence), and Harrison on the best form of his career with Runaway (essence), included on Mixmag's Lazy cover CD in June, Gone on his own Hump Records and the forthcoming The Talk, previously featured on Fatboy Slim's Big Beach Boutique mix and now slated for release on Mutant Disc.

Searchin' was written by the two Chicago neighbours and shows once again there's no substitute for writing good songs. With the Crump Daddy taking on a new production direction, employing shuffly timbale and conga beats underpinning some cool keys and another superb performance from Dajae, Searchin' will surprise those who thought Crump was just a filtered tweakin' kind of producer.

This strong package includes Harrison's long-time friend and collaborator Felix da Housecat pulling off a weird and wonderful electro-pop mix that has to be heard to be believed, as well as two superb original mixes.
