A long-term relationship with Proton Music, Andre Sobota has continually surprised and delighted in equal measures with his unique ability to create cross-genre, production magic with each and every release. As he now returns to the label after a brief hiatus, Sobota now continues his Proton story with, "Concluded".
On the southeatern Brazilian coast, Andre Sobota hails from the most populous city in the Southern Hemisphere. From his São Paulo home, Sobota has placed an indelible stamp on the underground and mainstream dance genres far beyond his country's borders. Able to switch effortlessly between genres, the central components of progressive, techno and trance are fluid forms that ensure the Andre Sobota sound is constantly at the vanguard of modern dance music.
Approaching four hundred production credits to his name, Sobota has hit upon a formula for success that has seen his music find its way onto the industry's finest imprints that include microCastle, Anjunadeep and Perfecto. Furthermore, an official remix of Coldplay and Rihanna's global hit, "Princess of China", for EMI saw the Andre Sobota name penetrate a mainstream global audience, while the original track "Astral Lady", for Perfecto Black, went on to receive coverage on Simon Patterson's BBC Radio 1 show and support from Sander van Doorn and Jeremy Olander.
A regular contributor to Proton Music, 2009's three-track "Outside" EP, laid the foundations for a fruitful association that has seen a catalogue of original and remix material. Thus, in addition to the release of the "5 Years Outside" EP, revisiting and reinvigorating the debut original EP, Sobota has reworked the likes of Ryan Davis, Tvardovsky and Silinder in his distinctive and trademark fashion. 2014 and 2016's original tracks "Signal" and "Fragments" were themselves remixed by such leading lights as DNYO, Tim Penner and Shingo Nakamura while a brand new third track now sees, "Concluded" illuminate Proton Music's portfolio.
A sumptuous rolling groove immediately identifies Andre Sobota's hallmark of quality as an iconic melodic riff evolves elegantly into full frequency range. Typically dynamic in his sound design and rhythmic groove, Sobota's trademark approach sees "Concluded" develop intelligently across its near seven-minute timeframe as emotive bass line and dominant kick hold sway. Beautiful swirling piano motifs swim across the stereo spectrum in dizzying glory as the lead melodic line picks up again in the third movement to outstanding effect.
A producer at the very height of his powers, there is little doubt that Andre Sobota's musical prowess is far from "Concluded".
