Derrick Flair started producing in 2006, it wasn't until 2010 when he teamed up with his friend, Fredly Scole to form a group called Fredly Flair that the first EP was dropped under TenToez records.
The EP did relatively well and the duo went on to release 3 other EPs. Derrick Flair then decided to branch out on his own and this led to him working with more producers and vocalists such as Ntsakosoul, Buder Prince, Dr Candid, Warren Deep, John Andrews and Fuminori Kagajo.
His work has been in great demand and it is in high rotation in South African stations such as Metro FM and Vow FM.
With raving reviews from prominent magazines such as funsion SA and Spirit of House, the future is bright for the 26 year old, KZN born producer.
Born in Ladysmith KZN, he recently teamed up with a Durban based producer called SoulAfrica and together they are about to take the industry by storm, with a lot of singles coming out under different labels in 2017.
