Kaptain: Born Thabo Tsepang Thuba in 16 October 1977.
Kaptain Started doing music as a subject in grade 7 at Polokong Primary School, than later went to Magadla High School in Matatiele, passed his matric. He then went to further his studies at the University of Transkei Mthatha where he obtained his diploma in Music Education.
Thabo Tsepang Thuba was born in the mid-sized town Matatiele, situated in the Eastern Cape, a coastal province in South Africa. At the age of 10 he was part of the school choir and the love for music grew as he continued joining the intermediate choir till the senior choir on his last years of his primary education. In High school he featured in the school choir and was one of the prominent tenor vocalist. Driven by passion, in first year at the University he formed a Kwaito group called Klimax, they were six members in the group and they would open up the stage with blazing performances to open up the stage for bigger artists who came to the university, the likes of Trompies, Mandoza etc. He later left his group and joined a trio group as the fourth member called YDV. They recorded their first album which only succeeded in the Eastern Cape province due to their geographical location. He was later asked to relocate to Johannesburg to pursue his career but chose education and completed his Diploma in Music Education.
After completing his diploma, he later travelled to the UK in 2004 -2008, where he become an Event organizer and performed on some of the local Events with South African artists like DJ Fresh, Malaika, Mafikizolo and so forth.
In 2011 he decided to go back to studio and recorded his Solo Album but it never got the chance to be released. In 2015 September he then relocated to Johannesburg to finally follow his career and started recording his album .His single got play listed in many radio stations, the likes of Mhlobo Wenene FM, Metro FM, UCR FM, Alex FM, Jozi FM, Nkonjana FM, Vuma FM, Rise FM,

He performed alongside many big acts in the music industry as an opening act. His current single titled "Shelela" is being endorsed by big acts like DJ QT and is getting played in many radio stations across the country. He did interviews with the following radio stations: Alfred Ndzo Community Radio, UCR FM, Umhlobo Wenene FM and Alex FM.
Currently working on his production is MrFire of Stasoul and BizzBongs of Bizz Events Music. He also features some of the best vocalists on his music, the likes of Taz Samboko from Zimbabwe, the beautiful Mbali_M from Soweto, Levie from Mthatha and Sandile Khumalo aka Divine.
