Drumming on all kinds of household equipment and jamming on the piano until his fingers hurt, it was pretty clear that a path into music was set. When and how was not yet clear at that time.

Thapelo 'Gintonic' Ginya, a young producer, DJ and entrepreneur born and bred in Johannesburg South Africa the great Mecca of house music. He has been playing his part in the music scene since 2007 as a member of Soultonic which worked with many international and local artists such as Busi Mhlongo and etc. and pursued a solo journey in 2010 and worked with Stasoul, Borza Entertainment, Black People Music, Nutownsoul, Southsoul Music, The Soulitudes and many more.

His sound is described in one word, 'MUSIC' but he is well known for his afro, Soul, deep touch in his tunes and remixes which are playing in many radio stations and podcast networks. Through his passion to create trends and ability to produce different styles of house music, Gintonic has made a name for himself in SA.

The future looks bright for Gintonic. His schedule, inspiration and motivation are growing and he is set out to shake the house music scene in SA and the globe.

Currently he is working in partnership with Bizz Events Music, a Johannesburg based independent record label focused on uncovering new music talent.

Through Bizz Events Music, 2014 will him release his first debut solo project titled, 'The Gintonic Experience'. This 6 track EP gives a sneak peek into Gintonic’s sound and will definitely feed the music side of any house heads soul. His EP will be available for download at all leading online stores in the Summer.
