For the second release on our sister label Dirtybird Select, we wanted to present something special. In 2013, a mysterious artist by the name of Friend Within sent us a demo, instantly catching the ear of Claude VonStroke. Claude immediately signed the very first Friend Within EP, 'The Game' to Dirtybird, and one month later signed 'The Pull' to the Dirtybird Players compilation.
In just three short years since, Friend Within is now at the top of the ranks with releases on labels like Hypercolour, Defected, Pets and his own imprint He Loves You.
After our Friend submitted 'Move Me', Claude VonStroke took it on the road and the crowd’s reactions sealed it. It was time to bring our Friend back.
