The surprise package of 2015, 'All Along,' started life as a humble B-side on Sumsuch and Will Brock's single, 'Shine'. Released as a follow up to their debut 'Mega Jawns' LP on BBE Records, All Along's simple, heartfelt refrain clearly struck a chord, gaining global radio support and finding its way onto compilations issued by Clubstar and Kontor. It seemed only right to revisit the track and let some of our favourite producers loose on it .... so that is exactly what we've done.
First up on remix duty is Dance Music legend, one half of Spiritchaser and all-round lovely man, Richard Earnshaw. His masterful version takes All Along directly into vibrant Deep House territory, with a typically persuasive, positive groove you can't help but move to. An instrumental version is also included for the purists and mash-up merchants. Releasing on Compost and Sonar Kollektiv among others, ultra-talented Russian producer, Dima Studitsky, expertly builds a bass-heavy and hypnotic big-room mix, crammed full of tension and intensity. Ex Sub Club resident, Mark Ryal, strips the track down to bare bones and reveals his sensitive side with a vintage, piano-laden interpretation over ten glorious minutes that call to mind 'the golden era'. His dub version takes us deeper still, filled with effect sweeps and evocative atmospheres. Finally, CandP mainstay, Finest Wear, builds a lush and dreamy version, incorporating airy percussion and major chords; perfect for poolside lounging.
The original mix is also included for those who missed out the first time around, making this our most complete package to date, including (we hope) an adaptation for all occasions.
