The “Fred Banana Combo” was a groundbreaking German New Wave/Punkband from the early 80’s. Dissolved in the mid 80’s, the Band counts to one of the most important Bands of early punk and wave in Germany. It was a big surprise when the “Fred Banana Cpombo” announced a new album in 2015 with the original line-up (released “The Best Of The Old Shit And The New Shit” on MIG-Music).
But the release was tragically ill-omended. After the dead of drummer Stefan Krachten 2014, Chaly T. also passed away, before the album was released. A few weeks after the release, our friend and artist Gottfried Tollmann died on October 6th 2015 after a hard desease.
The Dancefloor-Remixes of the song “Manana” were mixed by Ralf Hildenbeutel, with whom Gottfried worked together in the 90’s. Ralf Hildenbeutel counts as a joint founder of the musicstyle “Trance”. Between 1991 and 1998 he produced all releases of Star-DJ Sven Väth. He produced Club-hits under the project names “Cygnus X“, “Odyssee Of Noises“ “Progressive Attack“ und “Essence Of Nature“ (with Sven Väth).
With both of his (rare) remixes Hildenbeutel goes back to the roots of techno and underground dancefloor driven electronica and his appealing ultarmodern style stands out still and could easily showcase a finer PAMPA (etc) label Release.
