In it's 72nd release, Abstract Space Records welcomes an entirely new line up of artists to the label, kicked off by Gandalfr in his world debut titled Oseberg Ship. This intensely dark tech house stunner opens with ominous pads and sinister percussion, dazzling unsuspecting listeners with playful brass synthesizers before dropping a ferocious bass line to carry them tittering over the edge into the ravenous darkness beyond. Leo Baroso offers up a futuristic percussion heavy remix, somehow melding ultra atmosphere with an almost spartan-esque beat. Also appearing for the first time on the label, Julien Lecoq somehow injects even more darkness to the track with an omnipresent wobble, undercutting frightening sound effects, and interspersed with the brass lead from the original. Closing out this impressive release, Earth Control Room adds an almost melodic feel in his remix, giving the illusion of taming the track, but do not be fooled, here there be danger.
