You could say that VENENO is a band with a single member - this is Alejandro Ferrer; a music conservatory student born in an industrial neighborhood of Buenos Aires which has influenced the character of his sound.
His music is a hybrid between rock and electronica, combining the best of both into a raw, mysterious and hypnotic sound. After several remixes Veneno released his first EP “Plata Plata" (Etoro Records) which had great support from a wide range of DJ's including Matt Walsh and Mighty Mouse. One webzine described it this way: "Scientists have been trying to find a way to combine the ass shaking quotients of rock ‘n’ roll and electronic dance music for some time now. Previously, their findings have been disappointing, but Veneno may have just hit on it ."
For his tici taci debut, Veneno slows thing down and shows his dark and moody side. Garage drums are swamped with voodoo guitars, with space playing an important role in these tracks. Matanza Avanza is a mostly instrumental track which references Veneno's home town of Matanza. Solovino is a full vocal cut - Anejandro's voice perfectly complimenting the minimalist sound of the backing.
