It's 1989 and the original cold war is yet to thaw.

Helsinki, Finland is one of the unlikeliest places to produce masterful sophisti-pop, but Kosonen, a young man livingin an old wooden house in a bohemian part of town is driwing around in a Citroen DS, imagining himself a cross between Chet Baker and Paul Weller circa 1983, playing tapes of Style Council, The Smiths, Miles and Chet to death.
This E.P. he made before his lone LP is a as wonderful as anything by Canada's elusive Lewis or even Prefab Sprout.
Kosonen might well be the greatest forgotten outsider hepcat Helsinki ever gave the world.
