Newcomer Maya Schenk is already making waves with her original and infectious blend of deep-house, tech-house, techno and minimal. This unique fusion has brought the German-born vocalist and producer to the attention of many promoters, with weekly residencies at Hoxton's 'Stuck' in Trafik and Hysteria in Dalston, and guest spots as far afield as Switzerland and Moscow.
From humble beginnings creating music for her own art exhibitions, Maya's skills and reputation have grown quickly. As comfortable in the studio as behind the decks, her much sought-after production, vocal and writing talents have led to collaborations with a number of established and emerging producers such as Alex Blanco (Toolroom, Underwater, Monkey Mafia), Moscow Groove Institute (Citadel Records, Moscow) and Arpen (Berlin).

Her latest EP ‘Drowning’ consists of 3 tracks combining classic vibes, modern styles and her own hypnotic vocals, Maya's production style draws on her wide musical taste and is inspired by her Romanian, Hungarian, Swiss and German background and early experience of internationally renowned festivals such as Love Parade (Berlin), Nature One (Germany) and Street Parade (Zurich). All 3 tracks on this release from the opening line of the jacked up hypnotic ‘Drowning’ to the cool vocal and deep house vibes of ‘You Promised’ and the 90’s inspired ‘It’s Over’ all stand out on their own to make this EP a must for DJ’s in the clubs.
