This is a collaboration between a new label out of Chicago called NuGroove Records and POJI Records. This classic tune from 1976 by Wood Brass & Steel titled "FUNK A NOVA" has been revisited by Chicago's very talented keyboard player,producer and remixer Derek Sales aka DeeJaySound. DeeJaySound is no stranger to the Chicago House scene, he has literally had his hands on a number of Chicago House Classics with his signature keyboard sound.
The original mix Produced and Mixed by DeeJaySound shows his keyboard skills with a Puerto Rican Pride Breakdown Mix. Next on deck is the DjPope Funk 2 the Floor mix and Straight no Chaser Mix. both mixes contain that driving beat along side the horn section on Rufus Roundtree on Trombone,Clarance Ward III on Sax and John Lamkin II on Trumpet.
