LA based Esteban Adame released his first album for EPM Music in May. Having had previous releases on the likes of Planet E, Underground Quality, Modelhart and ICAN (which he runs with Santiago Salazar) as well as being a member of the Underground Resistance live act Galaxy to Galaxy and six-piece ensemble Thee Afterdark, his 'Day Labor' long-player delivered 10 tracks and just as many highlights.
The album's opener 'Rise And Shine' appeared on Marcel Dettmann's Radio 1 Essential Mix and Tom Ravenscroft's BBC 6 Music show, while other tracks caught the attention of DJs like Laurent Garnier, Skream, Doc Scott, Slam, John Heckle, Colin Dale, Pittsburgh Track Authority, Truncate, Vince Watson and many more.
Before the album's release came a taster EP featuring two tracks from Esteban and a exceptional remix from Detroit's MGUN. Now we take a closer look at two other cuts from the album - the deep and soulful 'Out To Get It' and techno sonic of 'The Grind'.
New York's Anthony Parasole, working alongside production partner, Phil Moffa turn their hand to 'Out To Get It', delivering a heavier dose of reverberation for their spaced-out, revolving reconstruction.
