Guitarist and composer Chris Bestwick is one of the people behind the Funkiwala band Archie the Goldfish. On this new project he is joined by composer and multi-instrumentalist Anthony Barilla.

Tony and Chris first met in 2010 when they were living in Mitrovice, Kosovo. After reconnecting in Brussels in 2025, they decided to start a band together, rehearsing in each other's apartments and travelling between them on tram 92.

The re:connections EP has a stripped-down instrumentation of accordion, guitar, and drum machine. Downtempo, melancholic and reflective, the tunes don't bang: they simmer with a quiet intensity.
