KØLT co-founder AYIM opens the V/A with a cerebral touch on ‘Tier’, built by a sparse soundscape and layered with a tenebrous lead and gauzy grooves. It’s followed by So_N, who begins ‘NB’ on a beatless note before descending into siren-shaped frequencies and resonant basslines.
On ‘Kråkesølv’, Oslo-based artist vilde wahl evokes a bleep-ridden world led by a loopy melody, flecked with mechanical whirrs. Simrana sprinkles staccato beats between churning rhythms and metallic riffs on ‘RealmRide’, forming a shadowy and quick-paced number.
