Mass Formation Audio: haunting electronic body music for a lost world (U.K.)

Mass Formation Audio is the post-punk- and darkwave-tinged EBM solo project of Matt Brock, founded in 2023. Matt has been active on the London alternative music scene since the mid-1990s, in particular with his dark electro band Dicepeople with its extensive back catalogue and immersive live performances. Mass Formation Audio has a strong audiovisual element, with dark, pulsing video footage to enhance the gritty, pounding sonic atmosphere. The material covers themes of societal division and fragmentation, the mental health crisis, malfunctioning interpersonal relationships, and the rise in authoritarianism. Releases so far include the four-track "Authority" EP and an upcoming remix for EBM pioneer Dirk Da Davo (The Neon Judgment, Neon Electronics). Further recordings and live performances are planned!
