In 2012, UK producer L'Etranger released his debut EP 1997 - a Beatport chart-topper that built a modest but dedicated following. The standout track 'Laroche' is a syncopated, chopped-up piece of electro house that went on to be cited as an early influence on the emerging Future Funk genre.
Now, more than a decade later, 'Laroche' comes full circle with a high-energy remix from Colombian producer Brayan Rojitas. Born and raised in Bogota, Brayan has quickly established himself as an exciting name in the Future Funk scene - working with Argentinian vaporwave artist Zai Kowen, receiving support from rising favourite Mike Sandcastle, and founding his own label Neon Soda Records.
His 2025 remix takes the original's syncopated chops and switches them up a gear into a high-octane floor filler, featuring beefy 909 kick drums and time-stretched vocals that push the energy to the next level.
