Pepper's Statement on "Change"





Pepper Gomez (USA) is back with an Emran Badalov (Azerbaijan) collab called "Change"!

The genre machine labels it as:

Pepper calls it Nu House and states by definition, she is House. Her music career was launched by winning the AEMMP Columbia College award winning student run label record contest. From there she signed with the legendary house label, Sunset Records. Pepper charted two tracks on Billboard while part of Sunset - Electric Baile / Master Plan and Way to My Heart with Matt Warren. She is currently signed to Running Back Records where remixes of early tracks continue streaming.





Pepper enjoys her artistic freedom and says each track calls for its own voice. In recent past, Pepper has enjoyed creating with mad producer, Ken Carpenter aka Carpente. She also sang background vocals for the greatest House vocalist - Robert Owens!





This release, "Change", is a collaboration with DJ Producer Emran Badalov who calls Azerbaijan his home. While parts are traditional as well as Nu House, the vocals hold elements of experimentation which you might mistake for effects on the vocals. But Pepper loves making freaky sounds and playing with her voice. Vocals were recorded by grammy winning producer, Drew Correa, at Entertainment Wanted Studios in Pepper's backyard in South Florida. As an award-winning poet, Pepper's vocals came to life from her soul with very few rhymes. From pain to hope, she vocally brings you on a journey that is rich with reality and great possibilities if only we change.
