PEPPER GOMEZ
Pepper Gomez is a House vocalist, award winning poet, lifelong human and child's rights advocate now turned record label owner. Running her Label, "Wake Up! Music", grew from her parallel life in the the arts where she began singing and song writing in the 1980s as part of the birth of House Music in Chicago. Her first song, an underground, dance remake of "Pushing Too Hard" by the Seeds won the first AEMMP Columbia College student run label's contest and quickly became an underground hit. After that she was signed by Matt Warren to Sunset Records as part of the Master Plan duo. "Electric Baile" charted Billboard and is considered a house classic which continues spinning today. She sang on many DJ 's projects, including Matt Warren's, whose "Way To My Heart" also charted on Billboard. Pepper was the first female to incorporate bilingual lyrics into House music. She went on to become a Flamenco dancer and singer. Dedicated to Nu Music, she has produced one multi-award winning documentary, "Flamenco: Passion in Danger," over 150 music videos and is executive producer of several hundred Nu Music releases from numerous genres including singer- songwriter of her own Nu House.
