In true Bedfunk style, we continue our mission of showcasing world-class talent by introducing a fresh production duo from the Motor City, Detroit, USA, linking up with the soulful powerhouse Venessa Jackson from Durban, South Africa. A global connection with serious groove.
Let's talk about DJ Ryte Nou, Detroit-born Originally behind the camera capturing DJs and artists, but soon joined those on the other side of the lens, now deep in the house game with a passion for soulful sounds, he made the leap into production and never looked back. For this release, he joins forces with Marcus Harris, brother of house legend Quentin Harris and a respected figure in his own right. Cutting his teeth on Hip Hop before landing in the soulful house scene.
Completing the trio is Venessa Jackson. Multi-talented singer, performer and prolific songwriter from Durban. With over 100 productions to her name and releases on King Street Sounds, Cleveland City, Let There Be House, Quantize, and now Bedfunk, Venessa brings undeniable depth, vibe, and vocal soul to the table.
Their new track is everything we love, deep, groovy, and dripping with class. Think warm chords, jazzy keys, lush strings, body-moving bass and Venessa's sultry vocals wrapping it all up. It's sophisticated, soulful, and right at home on Bedfunk.
This Detroit-Durban trio now joins a global Bedfunk roster featuring talent from across the USA, UK, South Africa, and Namibia, including Cleveland Jones, E-man, Soullab, Alpha & Olmega, and Shishani.
