'Strangers' is the brand new single from Castell and marks the first collaboration with synthwave artist Mayah Camara.

Castell and Mayah have built a strong friendship and Mayah has acted as a mentor in many ways since Castell first stepped onto the scene and a collaboration has been in talks since the very first conversation.

Mayah was the the first and only choice for a collaboration on a track like this, her voice compliments the r'n'b overtones of the track and paired with a flawless performance, the results speak for themselves.

The song itself was first written back in 2022 with just voice and guitar but was shelved with no real intention of release. When sifting through voice notes late one night, a very rough recording of the song cropped up again and instantly lent itself to a late 80s early 90s coloured production and the final production came together very easily from there.

This track handles the grieving period post breakup and the thought processes that ensue in such a situation. Missing that certain someone, replaying the moment it ended and the constant want to run into them again wherever you go.

Finished with an immaculate mix from Matt Catlow, 'Strangers' is yet another side to Castell that has not been seen before while maintaining the the trajectory that this artist is on.
