Risin Up is the debut single from Australian dance-electronic act StrictLove.

A rousing funk-fuelled anthem, Risin Up featuring the vocal talents of Zan Abeyratne. Zan was one of the lead vocalists in pioneering 80s Australian pop/dance band Im Talking (which also featured Kate Ceberano) who enjoyed a string of hits including the Top 5 classic Holy Word. Zan has also performed alongside the likes of U2, B.B. King & a host of both local and international talent; released a solo album in Europe and has gigged regularly at the Jazz Cafe in London alongside the likes of Brand New Heavies.

StrictLove (aka producers Andy Evans & Luke Nutley) have collectively been involved in the Australian music scene as musicians, producers, remixers, artist managers, A&R, publicity, marketing & general all-rounders for many years. They formed StrictLove with the intent on producing top end dance/pop with no restrictions on genre or style.

Risin Up features a variety of remixes geared towards all dance floors. Along with the electro-tinged funk of the original mix, StrictLove also provide a gospel-esque circuit house workout. The UKs Esquire delivers a hands-in-the-air house anthem & dub, as well as a piano-driven commercial house mix. Swedens Niclas Kings (collaborator with Nervo) takes it down and dirtier with a oh-so-now electro groove. Kinnyboy (remixes of Nick Bridges/Amanda Wilsons Underneath My Skin on S-Records & StrictLove's "Ain't No Man") turns out a funky latin house vocal, and Sydney based Tikyo turns out a sunny Ibiza pool-side house groove.
