Reminiscent of the olden days and the old ways of African House Music. King Djongo retrieves a long-lost afro house classic that never got to travel in its full might. Legend continues consists of two versions, the Main Mix and the Dark Dub.
The main mix is a musical masterpiece that boasts an infectious drumming style that is accompanied by a chant so cold you can almost see the blackened and cracked lips that are echoing it. A bonfire from the Transatlantic Slave Trade era, resembling a ship rocking back and forth, going toe to toe with the raging seas of the Atlantic. Ships full of black bodies packed together like Sardines. Black broken bruised bodies bound together on a journey unknown. A journey in the mind of a black man who is about to lose his identity.
The Dark Dub is simple, straightforward, cold, and hypnotic. A bass-driven monolith with a single agenda of drawing you in and blowing you away when you least expect it.
This is Blackness! These are stories worth telling.
