RM from Los Angeles is a DJ/Producer based in, you guessed it, Los Angeles, CA. Focusing on House and EDM, RM is drawn to the groove with strong basslines, piano riffs, and vintage sounds elements in most of his compositions. RM aims to get you out of your seat and moving.
RM's musical journey began as a child being drawn to an eclectic assortment of genres from Disco to Pop to Heavy Metal to New Wave. Stevie Wonder, New Order, and Iron Maiden all live in his musical identity with an attraction to strong, catchy hooks.
Eventually his musical exploration led him to the world of House, Detroit Techno, and the rave scene where he fell in love with the various sounds of the underground. Frankie Knuckles, in particular, holds a special place in his heart. Always a fan, it took the pandemic for RM to finally get behind the decks and begin DJing with a sound that can best be described as Funky Tech. But RM really likes anything that grooves and loves finding a throughline of danceable riffs in disparate genres.
