The personable Hamburg-based Mirau label has now been bringing us multi-faceted, well-designed transmissions of electronic dance music since 2005. "Not mass but class", is the motto, and what started as a platform for the music productions of label founders Marco Niemerski (Tensnake) and Stephan Lorenz (Arp Aubert), has now grown into an international label with a distinctly individual touch.
Over the years, some very beautiful gems were added to the colourful Mirau chain, many on brilliant display here. The club scene’s current hottest properties are well represented through artists such as Mano Le Tough, Erdbeerschnitzel, Iron Curtis, and of course Tensnake himself, who contributes a new track to this compilation. The long-billed Mirau logo bird now looks back on 15 releases, and here offers a finely crafted selection of 10 tracks that give a true representation of Mirau’s inventive, fresh output.
